Mr. Malcolm's List

Up front, this is not normally the kind of movie I'd go see, but when you're invited to a red carpet premiere, you go. And I'm glad I did because this was delightful. A period comedy with a love... square of sorts with a very witty and well-written script and a tremendous cast. I've gotten very used to seeing movies in almost empty theaters recently, but this was a packed house which helped since it made the funnier things funnier. The characters were all well-rounded and while the movie felt a little long and there were some story elements that needed sprucing up, I found myself engaged throughout. It was a nice change-of-pace from the traditional summer blockbusters. Worth checking out.
