Let me begin by saying that I'm not a country fan. As a matter of fact, I say that I dislike it. But I was recently given a CD by one of the Deputies in Kanawha County West Virginia because he had heard that I did music reviews. I told him that country wasn't for me but I'd be glad to check it out. I told him that if I didn't like it I was going to trash it... being honor bound as a pseudo music critic. Simply said, the CD is not just good, its damn good. Could it be the hidden deep down country boy in me that makes me like it? I can't say, but I do.
What are my personal favorites? "Save It For You" is good the ole country song about a down home boy loving his girl. How can you go wrong with that? "Call Me Country", is a song about the urban cowboy. This is a song I can relate to, since I was considered the redneck when I went to law school in Northern Pennsylvania (editors note: he is a redneck). "Red Dress Blues", is about nothing other than a hot little number in a red dress that burns up all the time and money of an innocent man. Who hasn't been there?
I suggest that if you like country music, and even if you don't, that you contact these guys and get a copy of this CD. These guys work all day as Deputies and then play all night in bars. These guys have style, and that goes a long way. Besides if you don't buy the CD, these guys may arrest your ass! Good work guys.
