"HOLY SHIT!," is what I told my boy Thorick when he mailed this CD to me. He told me I'd love it and he wasn't kidding. I don't think I've ever been so taken by a CD in my life. I'm actually excited to see what this CD does in the market. This is Vertical Horizon's first album released on their new label RCA. Its a winner, and I'd bet that it'll be lose on the radio in the near future. Pittsburgh record stores have been sold out of it for weeks now, so it won't be long.

What are you going to get? Trying to put my finger on it would have to be a mix between REM, Tonic, and a hint of Matchbox 20. The vocals are mixed between Matt Scannell and Keith Kane giving it a Michael Stipe-Emerson Hart feel to it. It will blow you away! According to my Syndicate Brothers who saw their most recent show D.C.'s 9:30 Club (accompanying this review is a review of the show), the lead guitarist (Matt Scannell) is the best they have ever seen. I was home and unable to attend and I'm none too happy about it. What are the highlights of the CD? "We Are," "You're A God" (my personal favorite), "Finding Me," and "Shackled." The songs range from hard to soft...complex to simple. I find myself singing these songs in my head all the time. You'll kick yourself if you don't buy this CD today!

This is party music for sure. Its got a little bit of everything for everyone. Don't wait. Don't even go to the can. Turn your browser to the CDNow page and buy this CD.
