Who ever said that variety is the spice of life didn't tell Green Day the
paprika was behind the Mrs. Dash. Did you like Green Day's "Dookie?" Yea?
CD has 18 tracks..and it still is only 50 minutes. The California band,
after putting out a second album I call the Forgotten Record (a.k.a. "Insomniac"),
hasn't shown that they can progress as a band. Don't be fooled either. When I heard the acoustic sound of "Good Riddance"
playing on the radio, I said now that sounds good. When I heard the CD,
it was the only song I said that about. Nothing has changed. Now, don't
get me wrong....they haven't put out a worse album, because nothing has
changed. For me, you don't really get what you pay for since the songs
are so short. If you are really hurting to buy a CD and you like Green
Day...buy it. If you hope that they will have a new sound going for them
or change things up......repeat after me...."Doh!"
