Well, what can you say
about this? Different......yea.. I think that does it justice. Her 10 track
CD is a collection of songs that are kind of morbid sounding and funk-a-delicious
in the sense that they carry a real heavy bass beat. The vocals are awesome
(reminds me of Edie Brickell's voice at first shot). She really has a distinctive
sound to her voice coming from the way she fluctuates her notes (whatever
the musical term for that is). Don't buy this CD if you want to get up
and dance or if you want something to cheer you up. Some of the better
songs on the CD are "Sleep To Dream" and "Criminal" (the video where she
get almost naked--wow).When I was done listening to it, I wanted to eat
a bag of Cheetos, sit in the dark, and wear a lot of black clothing. Not
that this is a bad thing, I like that type of music when I'm studying Constitutional
Law. The only problem that I have with the CD is it reminds me too much
of Alanis Morissette. They both have that bleak element to their music.
Overall, I recommend the CD if you like easy to listen to music with good
sound and beat. Plus, Fiona has a groovy name, incredible eyes like a girl
named Amy Smith, and she is very easy on the eyes if you know what I'm
saying.
