Sarah Michelle Gellar
Born: April 14, 1977

Although only in her 20's, Sarah has been acting since the age of 4. After appearing in numerous commercials, tv shows, movies and theatrical productions, she got her first big break appearing as Kendall on the hit ABC soap opera, All My Children. While on the show she won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Younger Leading Actress.

Soon after leaving the show, she landed the starring role of Buffy Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Using the immense popularity of the show as a springboard, Sarah has appeared in hit films such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Cruel Intentions". With Buffy recently resigned by the UPN network to a 2 year deal, expect to see a lot more of Sarah in the years to come.



Alyson Hannigan
Born: March 24, 1974

Alyson plays the the good witch Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After getting her first movie role in the cult classic "My Stepmother is an Alien", Alyson went on to play roles in various tv shows and commercials. Her first big break was getting the role of Willow on Buffy, a role she almost didn't get. But after meeting with and convincing the show's creator Joss Whedon of her ability to make the character something special, he gave her the part.

From there, Alyson has gone on to headline the huge hit "American Pie", the sequel to which is due out the summer of 2001, as well as appear in a number of other films. With her undeniable talent and charm, Alyson has a bright future ahead of her.



Nicholas Brendon
Born: April 12, 1971

Nicholas Brendon has starred in several commercials and had small cameo roles in movies such as "Children of The Corn 3." Since starting as the character Xander in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he has gone on to star in two films, "Pinata" and "Psycho Beach Party". With many of the original cast of Buffy having gone on to great success in feature films, it is only a matter of time before Nicholas hits it big.

Nicholas is also currently the national spokesman for the Stuttering Foundation of America.



Michelle Trachtenberg
Born: October 11, 1985

Michelle started on season number 5 as Buffy's little sister Dawn on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She started acting at the age of 3, with a tv commercial for Wisk. From there her career quickly snowballed, getting plum roles on big time Nickelodeon shows like Clarissa Explains It All, and Pete and Pete. But it was her starring role opposite Rosie O'Donnell in "Harriet the Spy" that brought Michelle to the big time.

Michelle has also starred in the huge Disney hit "Inspector Gadget" opposite Matthew Broderick, and "Snow Day" with SNL alum Checy Chase. Although her character on Buffy isn't actually human, Michelle manages to make the character a very compelling and moving one. Still only a teenager, Michelle has a long career ahead of her.



Emma Caulfield
Born: April 8, 1973

Emma plays the former revenge demon Anya on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Compared to some of the other cast members on Buffy, Emma got a late start in her acting career, first appearing in an episode of Burke's Law in January of 1994. From there she had other guest starring appearances on such shows as Silk Stalkings and Saved By The Bell: The New Class. She is probably best known for being one of Jason Priestly's many love interests on Beverly Hills 90210.

Best known that is, until landing the role of Anyanka on Buffy back in 1998. From there her character has developed into a popular one, and she is now engaged to Xander on the show. After the engagement went awry, Anya went back to being a vengeance demon.



James Marsters
Born: August 20, 1969

James plays the vampire Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Originally the baddest of the bad ass vampires, Spike now has an implant in his head, making it impossible for him to kill someone unless it's in self defense. James started acting in the theater, before packing up and moving to Hollywood to try and make it big. After some guest appearances on shows such as Northern Exposure, James landed a guest spot on Buffy. That role soon became a permanent one, and his character Spike has now fallen in love with the one he was supposed to kill. And now he has his soul back...



Amber Benson
Born: January 8, 1977

Amber plays the lesbian witch Tara, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Tara and Willow have broken new ground in television by playing one of the few lesbian couples on broadcast television. Amber got her major role in the Alicia Silverstone starrer, The Crush in 1993. From there she played the role of Nicole in a series of made for TV movies. Amber got the role of Tara in 2000. She is currently writing, directing, producing, and starring in the movie Chance. And just because she was killed off last season doesn't mean she won't be back in some form or another this year...

And some words of wisdom from Amber, off her official website: "My advice to anyone who is interested in becoming an actor is... DON’T DO IT!"



Anthony Stewart Head
Born: February 20, 1954

Formerly best known as "the coffee guy" from a series of coffee commericals, Anthony plays Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Giles is the Watcher to Buffy's Slayer, and is also a father figure to the rest of the characters on the show. Previous to his role on Buffy, Anthony starred in the short lived Fox series VR-5 and has had a distinguished career both in television and on stage in the U.K. Currently Anthony is scheduled to star in his own series in the UK called "The Watcher."
